Q: How do you define yourself?

A: Art for me is very personal. I go into artwork with a very open and honest mind. As long as it comes from inside and has a lot of passion, I feel it was successful.

Q: As an artist, what inspires you?

A: Culture is one of the biggest influences in my life. I find the differences and similarities of our world endlessly interesting. A lot of my inspiration also comes from reflections on my own personal experiences. What I’ve lost, what I’ve gained, what I’ve done for others, what others have done for me. The feeling I get that someone can be wearing my art or have it hanging up on their walls making their lives a little better is one of the best feelings in the world.

Q: Why is your organization important to you?

A: I think awareness of animal rights can change our communities and homes for the better. Nearly everyone is born into a lifestyle of eating animals, wearing leather, or supporting fast food chains. Animal right’s organizations supply us with a lot of information one normally wouldn’t know – whether it be for health reasons or benefiting the planet. We all have our own definition of harmony. It’s important to get educated and figure out what that harmony is.

Q: What are some of your hobbies and interests, outside of your art?

A: Riding my bike through the city is one of my favorite things to do on my off time. I love the exercise, and the feeling you get when you’re out there alone. I love cooking for myself, and playing my guitar.
